Bits and pieces

Bits and pieces is collaborative project with the aim to experiment using technologies within art and design and challenge production capacities by bringing together diverse knowledge and practice.

Our first idea was to make an application which generates patterns that never repeat themselves. Each pattern created from randomness therefore is unique and the only one. Computer program built by using processing programming language catches and illustrates a unique moment that can never be recreated and the process is infinite.

One-of-a-kind patterns materialized on T-shirts and sweatshirts. Direct garment printing enabled us to reduce quantity to 1, therefore each pattern exists only on one size garment and has a code to guarantee uniqueness.
